Rest is not the same as waiting.

There is a specific kind of pressure that arrives with January. It’s loud, it’s demanding, and it usually asks us to be someone else entirely. But I’ve always found that the most sincere growth happens when we refuse to rush. For me, this month has become a time to stay deep in the "inner season," focusing less on what the world sees and more on what is happening beneath the surface.

I’m learning to appreciate the luxury of being invisible for a while. It’s the period of the root—where we build the quiet resilience that holds us steady later on. There is so much power in that slow, private preparation. It isn't about losing time; it’s about making sure that when we eventually do bloom, we are supported by something real.

The most enduring things grow in the dark, away from the noise.

I hope you allow yourself the space to stay underground a little longer. Trust the thoughts you are gently untangling and the rest you are finally taking. You don’t need to prove your momentum to anyone today. For now, it is enough to just stay rooted, to be sincere with yourself, and to let the stillness do its work.

With sincerity,

Sheila
