Take a breath. The year is almost through.
December has a way of feeling crowded. Even if we’ve spent the last few months setting boundaries and clearing space, the world outside tends to press in a little closer this time of year. There is a collective pressure to end things perfectly and start the next chapter even better, but here, we are choosing to just let the year wind down naturally.
There is a specific kind of clarity that comes with the cold. When things slow down, we start to see the truth of our days—not the polished version we show the world, but the real one. This month isn’t about deciding who you’re going to be next year; it’s just about acknowledging who you were this year. It’s about being honest about the parts that were hard, the parts that were quiet, and the moments where you finally felt like yourself.
"Honesty is the quietest luxury there is."
In this spirit of empathy, we’re simply looking at what remains when the noise finally stops. You don’t need a plan yet, and you certainly don't need to judge the things you didn't finish. Some things are meant to be left behind in the frost to make room for what’s coming. November was about the warmth of being present, but December is about the peace that comes when that presence meets total honesty. I hope you find a few moments this month where nothing is expected of you, and you can simply be still with your own thoughts.
With sincerity,
Sheila
